Soul Transformation Therapy's Roots
Soul Transformation Therapy, also known as Core Issue Healing, was created by renowned psychotherapist, Hay House Soul Plan Author, and Holistic Healing College founder Blue Marsden. This transformative modality blends ancient spiritual techniques with modern psychoanalytic principles to help individuals uncover the hidden root causes of emotional distress and limiting life patterns.

What is it and why does it work?
The Soul Transformation Therapy technique stems from the premise that many modern ailments and challenges arise from feeling disconnected. Through a fine-tuned process, we aim to identify the polarity imbalance* and the separation pattern* that are playing out, and from there address the challenges or issues that are preventing you from fully connecting with your purpose, potential, flow or wellbeing.
STT helps you to reconnect with your authentic self by identifying and resolving the unconscious issues that limit emotional freedom, self-worth, and a healthy sense of self-esteem. It is particularly effective for those struggling with inner conflict, low confidence, and reoccurring life challenges.
When we make the unconscious conscious, we gain the insight needed to transform mental and emotional 'blockages'. This results in a shift in perspective and the ability to make more positive life choices.
Unlike traditional therapy, this method works on multiple levels – mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic – allowing for a deeper level of self-awareness to emerge, as well as offering a more complete form of healing.
Why do we need to work with the unconscious?
Your unconscious creates much of your reality on autopilot. If negative beliefs or assumptions are left unchecked, they can slow progress. Working with them thoughtfully can make lasting change more possible.
Your unconscious is the operating system running in the background, and it doesn’t respond to wishful thinking or positive affirmations. It responds to the assumptions, stories and beliefs you’ve accepted as facts – whether they are empowering or limiting. Those beliefs and assumptions create your self-concept: the story you believe about who you are and what you can achieve or have. Your brain is wired to keep proving that story right.
The intention of this modality is to create awareness of the underlying causes of the blocks, patterns and beliefs. It is through awareness that healing and lasting transformation can take place.
This is not about “fixing” yourself. It’s about finally listening to the parts of you that have been waiting to be heard...
Emotional Suppression and Repression
Emotions like grief, shame, fear, and anger get stored in the body - manifesting as fatigue, chronic pain, anxiety, or digestive issues.
These emotions are hidden beneath your conscious awareness. An example of this is, you’re feeling fine one minute, then someone gives you feedback at work, and you spiral into panic or self-doubt. That intense emotional response is often our nervous system reacting to a supressed wound that hasn’t been felt, seen or processed.
Energy not expressed is stored, whether it be supressed or repressed (unconscious suppression). Eventually, it leaks out through tension headaches, neck pain, sleep issues or even panic attacks. These emotions (energy in motion), are running the show. This can show up in many ways, i.e. anxiety around romantic relationships, constantly fearing abandonment etc.
These anxieties aren’t rooted in the present moment; they are old emotional imprints (e.g. a parents physical or emotional absence). Your unconscious mind registered this experience in your body and emotional memory, not in your logical mind. These imprints become part of your survival system. Unless these are brought into conscious awareness, they continue to shape your reactions, beliefs and health.
The moment you avoid or bury an emotion, it gets frozen, like a paused scene in a film. The nervous system couldn’t complete the response (cry, scream, run or speak), so it locked it away for later. It waits until you are safe enough and still enough to feel it. And if you keep ignoring it, it gets louder. Not always through words or thoughts, but through symptoms:
• Chronic fatigue • Digestive issues • Anxiety spikes • Emotional numbness • Unexplained body pain • Mood swings or shutdowns •
Healing is built on expression, integration and emotional safety. Blocked emotions don’t vanish! They begin to shape your mood, behaviours, choices, relationships and physical health.
The key to reprogramming your unconscious is understanding that you are not just thinking your way into a new reality, you need to BE your way into it. Every thought, belief and action you take is a reflection of your inner identity. To manifest lasting change, you must first shift who you are at your core, your self-concept – the beliefs and stories, you hold about yourself and your life...
Are you ready shift what is no longer serving you?
Polarity Imbalance & Separation Patterns
A polarity imbalance means being stuck too much on one side of a natural pair of opposites, instead of moving smoothly between both. Humans naturally have polarities, such as:
rest ↔ action
logic ↔ emotion
giving ↔ receiving
control ↔ surrender
A healthy balance means you can shift between these depending on the situation. A polarity imbalance happens when someone leans heavily toward one side all the time. E.g.
Always doing, never resting → burnout
Always thinking, rarely feeling → emotional disconnect
Always giving, never receiving → resentment
Always controlling, never trusting → anxiety
None of these sides are “bad.” Problems show up when one side dominates and the other is ignored.
Why it matters..
When a polarity is out of balance, a person might feel: stuck or overwhelmed, emotionally drained, reactive or disconnected, or like they’re trying hard but not getting results. A polarity imbalance isn’t something to “fix”. It’s more about bringing awareness and flexibility back - learning when to use each side so they work together instead of against each other.
A separation pattern refers to a deeply held inner belief that you are disconnected - from yourself, from others, or from something greater than you. It’s not usually a conscious thought like “I am separate.” It’s more a felt experience that shows up in emotions and behaviour.
What it can feel like..
“I don’t really belong.”
“I have to handle everything on my own.”
“No one truly understands me.”
Feeling cut off from your body, emotions, or intuition
How it shows up in daily life..
Feel lonely even around others
Struggle to ask for or receive support
Overthink or live mostly in their head
Feel disconnected from purpose or meaning
This isn’t a flaw — it’s a protective pattern that often formed early to help someone cope.
Why it’s important in Soul Transformation Therapy..
In this approach, separation is seen as the root pattern behind many struggles. When someone feels separate, they may:
Try to control life to feel safe
Seek constant validation
Feel stuck or disconnected from joy
Healing focuses on restoring a sense of connection - to self, to others, and to life.

"This is excellent. I was surprised and delighted by what came up for me. I discovered an amazing inner part / archetype I would never have guessed was a good one for me to lean into to overcome certain root problems of mine, and I have been able to take the insights beyond the session itself to continue working with my new-found ally. Very grateful to have been given this opportunity."
