Yin & Restorative Yoga

The focus of Yin & Restorative Yoga practices is to induce deep relaxation and healing through supported poses and slow, mindful breathing. They are both gentle practices that calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote physical and emotional wellbeing.
Yin yoga uses supported, long, passive holds to work on the deep, dense connective tissues of the body – the fascia, tendons, ligaments and cartilage. Using a combination of props, low stress and long holds allows the connective tissue time to transform at a cellular level.
Yin gives us the opportunity to remould our habitual postural patterning and scar tissue from the inside out, as well as being great for easing every day aches and pains. Yin improves overall mobility, flexibility, and joint movement.
Restorative yoga, like Yin, is about finding stillness and comfort in supported poses, however in Restorative we hold poses for longer, but with zero intensity.

Yin & Restorative are known to aid more restful sleep, reduce anxiety and depression, as well as stimulating the production of serotonin - the ‘feel good’ chemical in the body. When deep relaxation is realised, healing can happen on many levels.
Yin & Restorative yoga are floor-based practices and are suitable for all experience levels.
My yoga background..
I've been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and am insured and qualified to teach Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra. I am passionate about yoga and its many benefits for mind, body and spirit, and love nothing more than to share all that I have learnt from my many years of practice and continued studies.
My focus is on providing an immersive experience providing a welcoming, peaceful and relaxing environment for those of all experience levels. I aim to share my knowledge of yogic traditions from both Hindu and Buddhist lineages, whilst ensuring each student is met where they are in terms of their individual needs.

I specialise in Yin & Restorative Yoga, as the profound benefits these practices have on the mind and body are the reason I became a teacher. Yin Yoga played a huge part in my personal healing journey following burnout and Endometriosis, and so I am here to share all that I have learnt from a place of lived experience.
As well as private sessions, I am available for private or corporate events, festivals, workshops, wellbeing days, retreats and collaborations.
"A truly wonderful immersive experience. The venue was perfect, upon entering the Tudor Barn, the senses were heightened by the incense and the candlelight... Victoria was very skilled in her craft, making you feel at ease and in explaining the postures, any adaptations or variations to suit your level.
I came away practically floating, yet energised and had the best sleep I've had in a long time."
